Our Initiatives
Our aims connect with the United Nations’ SDG Goals, especially GOAL 4 (Quality Education), GOAL 10 (Reduced Inequality), and GOAL 17 (Partnership to achieve the Goals). Through strategic collaborations we have fantastic programmes rightly developed and designed around the following themes.
Academic Enlightenment Programmes
These programmes are to facilitate effective teaching and learning via ICT Trainings, Quiz and Essay Competitions, Talks and Workshops around various topical issues not limited to mental wellbeing, sustainable environmental, equality and diversity, ability in disability etc.
Career Services and Empowerment Mentoring
RIF offers career counselling, organises career and leadership seminars, events, career empowerment, etc. for the career growth of young people in the grassroots. The Empowerment Mentoring element includes the provision of funded opportunities for young people to learn trades, entrepreneurial skills through a thoroughly managed traineeship and internship with partnering Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
Advocacy for Academic and Career Welfare
We advocate for factors that support academic and career excellence especially in terms of improved career conditions, academic welfare for the less privileged and the disabled.
Socio-educational Impact
RIF seeks to make socio-economic impact through Intellectus: The African Journal of Philosophy. Our active mentoring programme is Intellectus Mentoring (InteM) through which potential future professional philosophers are encouraged and empowered with helpful information on funding, academic materials. We also aim to develop young leaders through our various leaderships programmes.
Educational Consultancy
This includes professional seminars, philosophical insights, motivational talks, professional evaluation, and development strategies for Schools, Colleges, Youth groups, and Faith based organisations.
Academic Funding and Prizes
Rosey International Foundation provides scholarships, grants or academic support stipends to encourage brilliant students and/or students from economically unfavourable backgrounds in the society. Information on available funding and scholarships will be updated on our website. RIF also acknowledges committed excellent students and seeks to reward them with prizes and gifts. A recent mentoring project was the Intellectus Prize in Philosophy (IPiP) 2022, which we hope to make annual.
We pursue our aims through strategic collaborations with Schools, NGO, Individuals, Societies, and Government bodies for the academic and career development of young people in the grassroots.
